FAQs

Jewellery and Diamonds

Where do your diamonds come from?

We source diamonds from all over the world, we have over 45 years of first hand experience. Diamond manufacturers globally are committed to comply with the United Nations Kimberley act, meaning that all of our diamonds are conflict free.

Why is there a price difference between these diamonds (all same cert and specs)?

Diamonds are bought on different days, from different outlets. They are also bought in dollars, meaning if the dollar rate fluctuates, so does the price!

What are the differences in the certifications?

There are many different diamond laboratories globally. GIA created what we now know as the Four C’s which other laboratories now also use and follow the same system.

The argument is that GIA is slightly stricter than other labs (WGI, HRD, IGI etc) on clarity and colour grading, which is why they are slightly more expensive. We do find that diamonds that have been graded by other laboratories offer great value and the quality will be very difficult to question if the diamond is graded F in colour and VS in clarity.

Do you sell both natural and lab-grown diamonds?

Yes we do. Lab grown diamonds can be up to 50% less expensive than mined diamonds and is therefore more affordable to our clients. Take a look at our Lab Grown Diamond page for more information

How I can be sure that you are selling conflict free diamonds?

We are proud to state that our diamonds are conflict free. Over the 45 years of trading in this sector, our founder has close relationships with diamond suppliers (legitimate sources) and personally sees they are not funding any conflicts. All of our stones are in compliance with the Kimberly Process and the United Nations Resolutions.
