Black Friday is the name given to the Friday that follows Thanksgiving celebrations in the US. It takes place on the fourth Thursday of November and this year falls on the 27th.
The date marks a shopping craze, where shops hold highly promoted sales and open very early. It is essentially seen as the start of the festive shopping season and nearly every shop takes place in one way or another.
What is Cyber Monday?
Unlike Black Friday, which has been around for several centuries, Cyber Monday is a relatively new phenomenon. It takes place the following Monday after Black Friday, and marks further sales. However, Cyber Monday only takes place online, and not in-store.
